Carnoustie is famous for its golf course, but most of its high-spending visitors don't venture beyond the golf club facilities, because they're not aware of what else is on offer.
That means the town misses out on lots of potential spending in the town. On top of that, low footfall means less investment; something the council is keen to change.
We designed a wayfinding strategy which will encourage golfing tourists to explore further afield and take the time to see what else the local area holds.
The scheme highlights the coastal walks, the national cycle route and opportunities to spot local birds and other wildlife.
Shining a light on a lesser-known town and celebrating what it has to offer is one of the joys of wayfinding.
