Placemarque were commissioned by UCL to carry out a complete internal and external signage strategy to reflect and extend the new UCL corporate guidelines. The project has developed new external and internal signs for each college building (approx 300 buildings), some buildings were listed and others in conservation areas, so the project involved detailed negotiations with the local planning authority and English Heritage.
Placemarque carried out the wayfinding analysis, signs design, prototype development and development of a sign manual, and have managed the procurement of the manufacture and installation.
