A huge thank you to everyone who clicked on our Christmas wishing tree last month.
After totting up the clicks we’ve made our list, and we’ve checked it twice.
Together, we’ve been able to donate 15 presents to Bruntwood’s Wishing Tree charity.
Each present is unique to a specific young person, with their wish request noted on the Bruntwood gift tags. We’ve really enjoyed seeing what they each wished for (Squishmallows are a new one to us!) and being able to make their Christmas wish into a reality.
We walked down to No.1 Circle Square with our friends at Luma on Wednesday, and popped them under the tree, ready to be delivered in time for Christmas.
The gifts have been chosen by young people that are supported by the Manchester Youth Zone and HideOut.
These fantastic organisations provide safe, welcoming spaces for young people aged 8 to 19 to spend their leisure time, where they can raise their aspirations and enjoy healthier, happier lives.
They’ll be distributed to the young people in the week before Christmas, for them to open on Christmas Day.
We have a strong connection in Ireland, having worked on projects there for the last four years, and so we met up as a team earlier this month to wish each other a happy Christmas and to celebrate our achievements together.
For us, nothing beats being able to make a tangible difference in a visitor’s experience of a place. We love helping people connect with a place and make it our mission to put people first in the designs we create for spaces.
So, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our friends and colleagues within the built environment who we’ve worked with over the past 12 months.
Wishing you a very merry Christmas, and we will see you in 2023!
From, everyone at Placemarque
